Why I Hate Rest Days!

I know I’ve had a hardcore workout week, but I still hate having to rest today.  As a bodybuilder, I am used to my routine of waking up, eating breakfast and most days training after college. It’s weird to sleep in an extra hour and go to college and then coming straight back. I know this is what most people at my college do, but it’s not me, and it feels weird to not work out on a day during the week. When I take a rest day, it feels like something is missing.

I also find it weird to know what to eat on Rest days. I’m not expending TONS of energy like I normally do, therefore I should probably eat less, but I find I am still hungry all day long as if I did a workout.

But your body needs a break. When you complete a full body workout routine our muscles get broken down. Then, over the next 24-48 hours hours, those muscles get rebuilt. That is why it doesn’t benefit us to work out every day; we don’t want to destroy our muscles without giving them a chance to grow back bigger and stronger.

Hustle for that muscle!

DONE.
